Highlights of the Year

We devoted to organise a wide range of activities to help promote home-school cooperation, such as Meeting the Principal for Secondary 1 Parents, S1 Parents’ Night, S1 Parents’ Night (Academic), S3 Parents’ Talk on Subject Selection, Parents’ Day, Student Achievement Celebration Party, S6 Cheer Up Activity, Teacher Appreciation Week, LAC Day, School Info Day, Hong Kong 1-day Tour, and etc. This year, we also tried something new to promote Parent Education, for example, Forest Immersion Walk and Yoga Course. Every one of the events has been well-received by the stakeholders.

S1 parents sharing ideas and asking questions at the Meeting with the Principal for Secondary 1 Parents.

All participants explored the Chinese history and the natural beauty in Sha Tao Kok during the 1-day Hong Kong Tour.

All parents enjoyed the experience of the Forest Immersion Walk.

Parents appreciated the great impact of the Parents’ Yoga Course.

PTA committee members put great effort on preparing the souvenirs for the S6 graduates.

PTA committee members, Ms. Xu and Ms. Ku wrote two Chinese calligraphy art pieces to celebrate the Teachers’ Appreciation Week.

Aims

To organise various activities for building a close relationship and strong linkage between parents and the school.
To promote collaborative work between family and school, so as to further develop and improve students’ academic performance and whole-person development.
To provide positive parenting skills to parents and help them strengthen their family bonding.
To offer better welfare to students and let them lead a healthy campus life.

Objectives

To enhance communication amongst parents, teachers and school, and further extend the scope of parent voluntary services.
To reinforce the “Parent Education Programme” and encourage parents to learn new skills together with their children, so as to improve education efficiency.
To launch beneficial activities for better development of school affairs and promote student welfare, for example, cross-curricular activities in English, healthy campus, self-regulated learning and eLearning.
To encourage PTA committee members to be responsible for organising different activities for students, teachers and other parents.
To get every member of the school involved in the PTA activities
