Highlights of the year

1. Form 3 Thematic Study

Form 3 Thematic Study cover themes including communities, STEAM, history and culture. Students work in groups under teachers’ supervision to set research topics, design research tools and write reports. They complete their studies through data collection, field visits and expert interviews, then showcase their findings at sharing sessions. The curriculum cultivates students’ critical thinking, deepens their understanding of diverse societies and cultures, and builds a solid foundation for further learning.

2. The Elite Student Programme

The Elite Student Programme is designed to train students with excellent conduct and academic performance, improve their public examination results and cultivate a positive learning atmosphere in school. The programme admits Form 4 to Form 6 students who rank top in their year, attain a conduct grade of B- or above and volunteer to join. Participants failing to meet performance standards will be asked to withdraw.

Weekly tutorial lessons are held to strengthen students’ competence in core subjects and refine their study and examination skills. Regular in-class and cross-year exchange activities are organised. The Principal also meets participants and their parents to encourage students to study diligently.

3. Learning Achievement Sharing Session

Every second semester, the school holds a Learning Achievement Sharing Session during assembly. Outstanding students from various fields are invited to share their exchange tour experiences, competition awards and project research outcomes to demonstrate their diverse talents. This event enables students to showcase their strengths and learn from one another, motivating the whole school to pursue excellence and build a positive learning atmosphere.

4. Promotion and Retention Criteria

To enhance learning effectiveness, address students’ learning gaps and implement tailored teaching, our school aims to foster a more effective and proactive learning environment through clear, concrete academic advancement goals. The promotion criteria are as follows:

  1. An overall annual average score of 45 or above; AND
  2. An attendance rate of 80% or higher; AND
  3. A conduct grade of C- or above.

Note: Students who fail to meet the above promotion requirements will be arranged to repeat the grade or join a conditional promotion scheme at the school’s discretion based on individual circumstances.

5. Cherish Books, Inspire Learning Scheme

Funded by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, our school implements the “Cherish Books, Inspire Learning Scheme”. It encourages students to value textbooks and pursue academic excellence, promotes book recycling for environmental protection and reduces parents’ expenses. The scheme applies to Form 1 to Form 3 students and excludes workbooks. All textbooks must be returned to the school upon students’ completion of academic year.
