Champion of the “智創音韻”(Inno-Melody) Secondary School Composition Competition

Under the cross-curricular collaboration between the Computer Literacy and Music departments, Wong Chi Hin from Class 3C has emerged as the Territory-wide Champion in the HKACE 45th Anniversary: “Inno-Melody” Secondary School Composition Competition!

At the HKACE 45th Anniversary Gala Dinner held, Wong was personally presented with the award by Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, JP, the Secretary for Education. Our Principal and teachers were also in attendance to witness this moment of glory.

The theme of this competition was the 45th-anniversary theme song for the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE).

  • Song Title: “Digital Sparks, Enlightening the Future”
  • Creative Concept: The song utilizes “biliterate and trilingual”. The first half is in Mandarin, while the second half is in Cantonese, featuring a Cantonese RAP section in the middle.
  • Symbolism: This design reflects Hong Kong’s linguistic character as an international metropolis and symbolizes HKACE’s educational vision: rooted in Hong Kong and reaching out to the world.

Wong utilized Gemini to assist with the lyrics and experimented extensively with the Suno platform to generate the music. We have attached the song below so that everyone can experience the power of AI in composition, songwriting, and arrangement.

“Healthy Information for All” Interactive Educational Theatre (Organized by the Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration)

Our subject panel invited the Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration (OFNAA) to conduct the “Healthy Information for All” Interactive Educational Theatre during the school assembly on Thursday, April 16.

The troupe performed an educational drama titled “The View Trap: The Indecent Video Incident,” aiming to enhance students’ digital and media literacy. Centered around popular online content creation and social media culture, the play explored how teenagers should respond when faced with the temptation of “going viral.”

The performance introduced the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance, highlighting that it is not merely a law, but an essential tool for protecting oneself and discerning right from wrong in the digital world.
