Highlights of the Year
LAC (Language Across the Curriculum) working group places great emphasis on students’ English learning. Through a variety of diverse, fun, and interactive activities, it aims to enhance students’ English proficiency and boost their confidence in using the language. Among our many initiatives, the weekly LAC morning assemblies and lunchtime LAC activities are the primary focal points.
Aims
To provide students with opportunities to use English in order to improve their proficiency and build their confidence, while simultaneously promoting interdisciplinary learning and encouraging the integration and exchange of knowledge.
Objectives
- To facilitate better learning transitions and articulation for students across different grade levels.
- To enhance students’ English proficiency, helping them manage their subject learning and improve their overall academic performance.
- To increase opportunities for students to learn and apply English in non-language subjects.
- To strengthen the connection between the English language curriculum and different learning areas.
- To encourage the integration of the English curriculum with the STEAM curriculum, promoting the continuous development of both.
- To promote a whole-school approach to English learning and cultivate an English-rich environment.
