Dear Parents,

Starting from Term 2, our school continues implementing Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) scheme in S1. Every student should have a tablet for their learning purpose. Parents may obtain iPad in the following ways:

Method 1: Self-purchased iPad

Students may bring their personal devices back to school. However, to ensure devices are only being used for learning purposes in school, students are only allowed to bring a tablet with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) System installed for the sake of device safety, unified teaching and management. You should pay an MDM fee of $210 and please refer to “Method 2: Purchasing iPad through our school” for the payment method. If students are found to use unauthorised devices/iPad in school, the devices will be temporarily kept, and parent will be notified for device retrieval in person afterwards.

Our school will collect all self-purchased iPads for MDM installation in late March. To ensure the MDM System is installed properly, students should back up their devices first. They MUST also perform the following steps before handing in the device as follows:

Method 2: Purchasing iPad through our school

An iPad fair will be held at the Covered Playground from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m on 29^th January 2024 (Monday). Parents/students are welcome to order iPad in person. Please be awared that if your child would like to bring the iPad back school for learning purpose, you must check the box of “MDM” at the order form. Otherwise, the iPad is not allowed to be used in our school. For the pricing schedule of the required devices, please refer to the order form attached.

Method 3: Borrowing iPad from our school

The school made inquiries to parents regarding the “Mobile Computer Device for rental scheme”. «Eligibility»
