Business, Accounting and Financial Study (BAFS)

2024 Lunar New Year Flower Market Activity

Dear Parents

In order to encourage students to put what they have learnt in BAFS into practice, we are going to organise the ‘2024 Lunar New Year Flower Market’ activity for S4 BAFS students.

We have successfully won a bid for a flower market booth (#36) in Yuen Long. The rent for the booth is fully subsidised by the school; however, the cost of purchasing goods is borne by the students themselves. Thus, students will raise funds for the activity by issuing ‘shares’ at HK$1 each. The maximum amount of shares to be acquired by each BAFS committee member is capped at HK$1,000. The BAFS Panel Chairperson will collect the fund on 5^th December 2023, and monitor the fund with the sole purpose of running the booth business.

Shortly after the activity, the committee members will host an Annual General Meeting in which an audit income statement will be presented with respect of the booth business to shareholders. Thus, shareholders will share any profit or loss per rata.
