The arrangement of MDM System installation for self-purchased “BYOD” devices

Dear Parents
The school has started the implementation of Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) scheme. To ensure devices are only used for learning purposes in school, students are only allowed to bring an iPad with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) System installed for the sake of device safety, unified teaching and management. If students are found to carry unauthorised devices/iPad to school, the devices will be temporarily kept, and parent will be notified to collect the device from the school in person.
As we adopted a new MDM platform, which has more iPad apps to promote students’ self-directed learning, all
S3 students who bought their iPads through the school or themselves are required to hand in their devices for MDM System update next week. Class teacher will collect the devices and return them after the installation.
To ensure the MDM System being installed properly, students should backup the device first. They MUST also complete the following steps before handing in the device as follows:

l Stick the class, class no., name of the student

l Sign out of Apple ID
|
|
l Unset the passcode and the fingerprint unlock
|
l Turn off（尋找／Find My）function
|
Please return the signed reply slip by 8th September 2023 (Friday). Please also hand in the iPad if you are required to update the MDM System. Please contact Mr. Lee Wang Chun on 2443 9899 if you have any questions.
