The students in Music Ensemble Team perform and participate in competitions to enhance their confidence, showcase their talents, and holistic development.

In alignment with the school-based curriculum, software elements and interdisciplinary collaborative projects are incorporated. Interdisciplinary collaborative teaching topic between the Music and Physics: “Magic of Sound: The relation of frequency and the resonance space”and “Magic of Sound: Exploring Electromagnetism in Handmade Speaker”

Musical – TWGHs C.Y. Ma Memorial College’s 30th School Anniversary: Together We Shine. The theme song for the 30^th anniversary has successfully been released on major music streaming platforms!

The music room is equipped with music production devices, allowing students to enjoy learning creatively.

Aims

Our school’s music department provides an energetic learning atmosphere for students, giving students opportunities to showcase their talents and achieve personal goals in music. They can have extensive exposure to different areas in music, including basic theories, instrumental performance skills, songwriting, arranging and music production. The curriculum allows students to explore and learn about various music genres and forms. In addition, our school actively participates in external music competitions and performances, enhancing chances for students to showcase their talents publicly. This not only sharpens their performance skills but also builds their confidence on stage.

Our music development integrates innovative technology into the curriculum, with modern facilities, including a Mac Lab, recording equipment, and music production software. These advanced facilities and technological tools encourage students to learn and produce music at ease, while also sparking their interest and creativity in music technology.

We emphasize multicultural exchange, enabling students to engage with and understand music from different cultures, broadening their musical horizons. The school organizes diverse music activities and exchange programmes, allowing students to learn and share the joy music brings, fostering cultural integration and mutual appreciation. Studying music at our school enriches students’ learning experiences, cultivates their musical literacy and creativity, and brings vitality and hope into Hong Kong’s music scene!
