Highlights of the year

Our English Language Department participated in an intensive professional development program with the Quality School Improvement Project (QSIP) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). By analyzing comprehensive student performance data, the team identified specific learning gaps and strengths among students and actively adapted our teaching strategies to better meet the diverse needs of our students. This program underscores our department’s ongoing commitment to professional growth and evidence-based teaching practices that directly elevate student learning outcomes.

A wide range of English learning activities were organised to arouse students’ interest in exploring the fun of English learning, for example, Halloween Celebration Party, LAC Day lunchtime activities, and English Week.

To foster cross-cultural understanding and language proficiency, our school regularly organizes joint-school English study tours. Participating students travel alongside their peers from TWGHs secondary schools, exploring international destinations and experiencing foreign cultures.

S1 Drama Education: 3 shows were performed at the hall assembly on 14^th May 2026.

TWGHs Joint Secondary School Singapore English Summer Camp 2026: Our students participated in the camp to develop their English abilities and life skills from June to July in 2026.

Aloha Magazine (Issue 20) will be released in August.

Inter-school competitions:

• 16 students took part in the 77th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2025) (English Speech) and 7 students received Merit certificates.
• 19 students participated in the Good People, Good Deeds: English Writing Competition 2025-2026.

Aims
