Highlights of the year
A wide range of English learning activities were organised to arouse students’ interest in exploring the fun of English learning, for example, Halloween Celebration Party, LAC Day lunchtime activities, and English Week.
S1 Drama Education: 3 shows were performed at the hall assembly on 17th May 2024.
TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools English Camp 2024: 9 students participated in the camp in July 2024.
London Study Tour will be organised in July and 17 students will take part in the tour to explore the English world.
Aloha Magazine (Issue 19) was released in August.
Inter-school competitions:
- 21 students took part in the 75th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2023) (English Speech) and 3D Leung Hoi Pui received the Third Place.
- 17 students participated in the Good People, Good Deeds: English Writing Competition 2023-2024.
- 2 students from S5 joined the inter-school speech contest, and the topic was ‘Vision’.
Aims
- Utilizing an eLearning platform to help consolidate students’ self-learning ability.
- Enhancing the implementation of Language across the Curriculum (LAC) to help improve students’ English proficiency.
- Empowering students through their multiple talents to promote a positive life.
Objectives
- To enhance students’ interest and confidence in learning English.
- To expose students to greater variety of authentic English materials.
- To improve students’ English proficiency and learning skills.
- To encourage students to take more initiative to learn English.
- To develop students’ habits on note-taking, lesson preparation and revision.
