Academic achievements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

2025 Latest Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Exam Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 S.6 students\uff1a the pass rate is 100%, with an 80% rate for LEVEL 3 or above. The percentage of students achieving Level 3 or above far exceeds the territory-wide average.. One achieved a Level 5 and another attained a Level 5* for outstanding performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public examination of DSE has offered Geography for Form 6 since 2022, and has achieved excellent results in many Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education examinations. For example, in the first Geography Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination in 2022, 40% will be awarded Grade 4 or above, and 20% will be awarded Grade 5 or above, which is higher than the level in Hong Kong. Relevant students were successfully admitted to the Department of Geography and Resource Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the 2024 Geography Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, the pass rate reached 88.9%, and some students obtained 4th and 5th class respectively. See undergraduates achieve excellent academic results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aims<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The aims of this curriculum are to enable students to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • understand the Earth they inhabit, and enable them to recognise and interpret, from a spatial perspective, the arrangement of phenomena and features on Earth, the processes at work, the interactions that occur, the changes that result, and the issues and management responses that arise;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • develop the general intellectual capacity and generic skills needed for lifelong learning through geographical enquiry, and the ability to apply these in life situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • appreciate the wonder, interdependence and fragility of the local and global environment, and the importance of promoting sustainable development; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • develop a sense of citizenship, a global outlook, and readiness to take action for the betterment of society, the nation and the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Students are expected to develop knowledge and understanding of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • the changing development of geographical phenomena and issues in terms of space and time;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • the characteristics and functioning of major natural environments, through analysing the processes and interactions within and between them;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    •  the characteristics and development of major human activities, in order to achieve a sense of \u201cregion\u201d; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • the issues arising from people-environment interactions and the human responses to such issues, as well as the implications of these human responses for resource management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
