Highlights of the Year<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Morning assemblies and lunchtime activities on LAC Days provide students with opportunities to practice English. It is expected to enhance students’ skills and confidence of using English in interesting, interactive and enjoyable ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aims<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

To facilitate the practical use of English by students, the introduction of Language Across curriculum (LAC) is proposed with the aim of improving students’ English skills and confidence, while also enhancing their grasp of different academic subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  • To prepare students for a better transition from P6 to S1 and from KS3 to KS4.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To develop students\u2019 English language proficiency to enhance their learning in content subjects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To maximize students\u2019 opportunities to use and be exposed to English in non-language subjects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To strengthen the connections between English Language and other KLAs through cross-curricular planning and collaboration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To help promote STEAM curriculum by incorporating STEAM elements in LAC learning and teaching activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To enrich the English language environment within the school through a whole school approach to LAC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
