Highlights of the year<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

High-Altitude Sports Training Experience, Cross-Cultural Learning, and Exploration of Kenya<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to provide students with a deeper understanding of sports science, high-altitude training, and African culture, our school has organized an expedition to Kenya, Africa. During this nine-day expedition, students interacted with the world\u2019s top-ranked athletes. In addition to gaining knowledge related to sports, they learned the spirit of perseverance and hard work from these athletes. The students also visited local villages, where they learned to be grateful through the process of helping others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-Exam Activities: Work Hard and Play Hard!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After students put in their effort for exams, a series of well-planned and diverse activities will enhance their learning experiences. Through these activities, we aim to strengthen the connection and understanding between teachers and students, as well as increase students’ sense of belonging to the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music Competition and Christmas Celebration<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our school holds a grand music competition during Christmas, allowing students to showcase their talents and boost their confidence.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • To ignite students’ interests and develop their talents through participation in activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To foster students’ leadership and organizational skills through planning and implementing activities, enabling them to learn self-governance. \u30fbTo allow students to choose extracurricular activities that align with their interests and needs, reinforcing their initiative and encouraging them to take responsibility for their choices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Objectives<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    The significance of extracurricular activities lies in promoting the overall development of students and facilitating their socialisation. Extracurricular activities emphasise voluntary participation and self-organization, allowing students’ personalities to shine. Throughout the activities, students play a central role, showcasing their talents while further developing their independence, sense of responsibility, and awareness of participation. Extracurricular activities add fun to students’ learning experiences. Generally, extracurricular activities are voluntarily participated in by students, which means they carry little psychological burden and instead experience the joy of exploration. Additionally, compared to in-class learning, the content of extracurricular activities is often more novel and stimulating, providing enjoyment for both the mind and body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • \u00a0To promote subject-oriented student activities, enhancing the academic atmosphere of the school and increasing student interest in subjects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • To train students to become activity leaders who assist the school in promoting lunchtime and after-school activities. To encourage Form 4 and Form 5 students to lead student organizations and interclass activities, showcasing their leadership abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • To require students from Form 1 to Form 5 to participate in at least one student organization or extracurricular activity. The school has established a comprehensive scoring system to ensure that students meet these requirements, although Form 5 students may be exempted starting in the second semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Form 5 students in the second semester and Form 6 students should relinquish all school positions, such as student council and leadership roles, to ensure they have sufficient time for study and make-up classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • All Form 1 students must participate in the uniformed groups organized by the school (including the flag-raising team and Scouts, etc.), with meetings for all Form 1 uniformed groups and leaders held every Tuesday after school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
